Atlantic City Man Dies After November Double Shooting: Prosecutor

A 19-year-old Atlantic City man has died from a gunshot wound he sustained in November, authorities said.

Jaiden Perez succumbed to his injuries from a Saturday, Nov. 16 shooting on Saturday, Dec. 14, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

In November, the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue and found two men shot, authorities said. A group of individuals were standing on Atlantic Avenue around the Boost Mobile store when multiple rounds were fired in their direction, authorities said. Both victims were transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center, authorities said.

Preliminary autopsy findings revealed Perez’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to his upper torso, authorities said. The second victim was treated and released from the hospital shortly after the shooting incident, authorities said.

No one has been arrested for the shooting and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
